What to Expect

Normal activities can be resumed after the procedure.

Immediately after the procedure, your face may appear flushed which typically fades within a few hours.

It is not uncommon to have swelling, tingling, soreness, mild tenderness, possibly bruising and numbness in the first several weeks.

The skin will continue to improve and results can be after 3 months after treatment.

If you develop local muscle weakness, this is a temporary and normal reaction which will resolve in days to weeks. Temporary numbness is also a possibility due to irritation of sensory nerves which will resolve in days to weeks. Swelling is possible as well, especially under the eyes. Icing for 10-20 minutes and elevating your head with an extra pillow when sleeping can help decrease swelling.
