Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is regarded as “natural hair restoration” since it uses a high concentration of platelet and protein-rich therapy from your own blood which repair, rejuvenate, and control hair growth cycles, stimulating dormant hair follicles and hair growth. PRP can be successfully used to treat thinning hair and hair loss. We recommend a series of 3 treatments to see results.
What to Expect
Blood is drawn from your arm and placed in a centrifuge. After it is spun and separated, the PRP is injected directly into the scalp to bathe the hair follicles in growth factors. Injections only take 2 minutes for the entire top of the scalp. The PRP helps stimulate the activity of the hair follicles and promote new hair growth.
It is recommended that patients receive three treatments at four to six week intervals.
