The Basics

Tiny needles to trigger a natural healing process to renew skin.

Minimally invasive procedure that uses a mechanical pen attached to tiny acupuncture-sized needles to create micro-channels, triggering a healing response to stimulate collagen and elastin production, resulting in renewed skin that soften and improves lines, scars, stretch marks, pores, and wrinkles. At Entière Dermatology, we use medical-grade microneedling pens with either microneedling alone or in combination with the infusion of platelet-derived growth factors (PRP) or hyaluronic acid and laser resurfacing. Through our expertise as board-certified dermatologists, we know which skincare products are safe and appropriate for delivery into the skin.

What to Expect

Pinpoint bleeding is expected and wanted since this releases growth factors and nutrients to jump-start the healing process.

After the treatment, the skin feels almost like a sunburn – red, minimally swollen, and somewhat tingly, which persists for 3 days after treatment.

Tiny coffee ground or speckled bruises, redness, and bruising lasts 2-7 days.

Based on your skin, concern, and treatment regimen, results can be seen within the first treatment but a typical treatment course consists of 3-6 sessions. Long-term studies demonstrate that the skin will continue to improve over 6 months.
