What to Expect
For the next 24 hours, minimal swelling, a mild heat sensation, and/or redness is expected and typically lasts 1-2 days after the procedure.
For the next 2-7 days after the procedure, darkening of red and brown spots and a light suntanned look is normal and expected. Skin will feel dry and have a sandpaper texture for the first 5-7 days after treatment. After a week, skin will be smooth.
Blistering is rare, but can happen. If blisters occur, please contact the office immediately.
Visible results can be seen after 1-2 weeks. Improvements continue up to 1 month after treatment and further with consecutive treatments after. Typically, a patient will need 2-4 sessions at 4 weeks intervals for optimal results.
Our Recommendations
Monthly treatments are recommended to maintain a youthful glow and prevent future skin damage.
Ideal time to perform, 1 week prior to an important event.
Avoid facials, electrolysis, threading, extensive sun exposure or any other laser treatments one week prior to the procedure.
Avoid picking and scrubbing the skin.
Avoid tanning or a sunburn two weeks before the procedure and four weeks after the procedure.
Avoid using cosmetics that contain alcohol, Retinol or AHA for at least one week after.
Stop all topicals, with the exception of a plain moisturizer, gentle cleanser and sunscreen two days prior to the procedure.
If you have a history of cold sores or acne, please let your dermatologist know beforehand.
